Terms of Service

Last updated: July 23, 2026

These Terms of Service ('Terms') govern your access to and use of WACC Buddy (the 'Service'), operated by WACC Buddy ('we', 'us'). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who may use the Service

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) and able to form a binding contract to use WACC Buddy.

You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.

2. The Service

WACC Buddy provides educational study tools for investment-banking interview preparation, including spaced-repetition flashcards, timed practice drills, writing aids, and career-preparation guides and reference material (such as typical recruiting timelines). Content is for educational purposes only and is not financial, investment, legal, or career advice.

We work to keep the content accurate, but we make no guarantee that it is complete, current, or suited to any particular interview or employer. In particular, recruiting dates, processes, and employer practices change without notice — always verify them with the employer's official sources before relying on them.

3. Accounts and authentication

Authentication is provided via email/password and Google sign-in through our infrastructure provider. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscriptions and payments

The Monthly plan is a recurring subscription billed through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method automatically on each renewal until you cancel.

Where we offer a free trial, your paid subscription starts automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel before then; the trial length and any promotional pricing are shown at checkout.

Some plans are one-time purchases rather than subscriptions: the Season Pass grants full access for the period shown at checkout (currently four months) and then expires without renewing or charging again; Lifetime grants access for the operating life of the Service. Every deck, including bank-specific decks, is included in these plans at no additional charge. One-time purchases do not auto-renew.

You can cancel anytime from your account's billing portal; your subscription stops renewing and you keep access through the end of the period you have already paid for.

Because WACC Buddy is a digital product delivered instantly, payments are non-refundable except where a refund is required by law.

Prices may change; we will give reasonable notice before a change affects your renewal.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to copy, redistribute, resell, scrape, or create derivative works from the question bank, and not to share your account to circumvent paid access. The content and software are protected by intellectual-property laws.

6. Intellectual property

We and our licensors own the Service, including the question bank, software, and branding. We grant you a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal interview preparation.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided 'as is' without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that using WACC Buddy will result in any particular interview outcome or job offer.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time and request deletion of your account by emailing hello@waccbuddy.com from the email address on the account; we handle deletion as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified through the Service or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

Questions about these Terms: hello@waccbuddy.com. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
