The process

Three gates — application, video interview, superday — and Goldman documents all three on its own careers site more plainly than most firms. Use that.

Application. Everything goes through Goldman's online careers portal. Programs, locations, and deadlines are posted per region and per cycle — treat the live portal, not any guide (including this one), as the source of truth for dates and eligibility. Apply early; there is no upside to waiting. (source)

First round. Goldman's own prep page for students says it straight: if your application is selected, you'll be asked to complete a video interview of roughly 30 minutes — and the firm itself calls it your HireVue interview. Format specifics change year to year and by program, so don't memorize a format. Build answers that survive any format. "Why Goldman" is near-certain here: rep it until it's automatic. Superday. Goldman's word, and Goldman's page: a series of final-round interviews — typically two to five, depending on the division — with a cross-section of people you could end up working with. Assume your interviewers compare notes; consistency across rooms beats one great performance. The technical bar is standard IB material drilled to fluency, not exotic trivia. That's a training problem, and training is what the deck below is for. (source)
