The process
Same three-gate shape — apply, first-round screen, final round — with more format variation by region and program than you'd expect, so read your own invite carefully.
Application. Online, through Morgan Stanley's careers site. Postings are per program and per region, and deadlines move cycle to cycle — check the live posting, not last year's dates. (source)
First round. Morgan Stanley's own careers content covers video interviews — live and recorded formats both appear in its screening guidance — so be ready for either; your invite email is the only format spec that matters. This stage leans behavioral: story bank first, technicals second. (source)
Final round. Expect several interviews in sequence — behavioral and technical mixed. Same answer, same quality, every room. And know your resume cold: Morgan Stanley's own interview-prep page tells candidates to be able to walk through everything on it without reading from it. (source)
What's distinctive. Morgan Stanley publishes its core values on its own site — read the current list the week of your interview (the list has been revised before; never recite a stale version) and have one concrete story per value. And bring a real answer to "why Morgan Stanley over Goldman or JPMorgan" that differentiates on the platform without trashing either firm. (source)
